Just Add Value – In Everything You Do
I’ve always lived by this. I think it was something instilled in me at a young age. I remember grandpa saying there is never a lack of work opportunities for good workers. Although he was a farmer and horse trainer (still is) and I am in business and entrepreneurship, the concept still applies.
My last position was to drive paid acquisition efficiently while scaling. This is an extremely difficult thing to do, one essentially cancels out the other. So before I accepted the position I asked for extensive reports, data points, and full read-access to their ad accounts to ensure I could in fact add value.
My fear was, and is, to become easily replaceable. To become dispensable to my employers. I can’t afford to put myself in that position or most importantly put my family in that position.
So wherever you are serving add value. Stop going through the motions and just milking the clock. If you wash cars, go the extra mile. If you serve burgers, double-check the orders’ requests. If you lead your family spiritually, be intentional about it, show them how to love Jesus.
Do your day job, side-hustle, and side-side-hustles all as if for the Lord. Col 3:23.
